Hiring Right: A Course in Recruiting, Interviewing and Making the Deal

Overview: Leaders will acquire skills for recruiting "the right" candidates, and for conducting high quality, revealing interviews that are in sync with current laws and restrictions.

Objectives: By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Create a high quality job description that perfectly depicts the responsibilities of the role,
  • Develop a pre-screening process that narrows the candidate pool to a manageable level,
  • Define three ways to solicit interest in a job opening,
  • Develop behavioral-based questions that align with the responsibilities of the role,
  • Conduct an interview that is professional, effective and in alignment with the law,
  • Apply a ratings system to interviewees, and
  • Display confidence when making a job offer.

Time: Recommended as a Full-Day, but can be shortened to a Half-Day.
